Tsu-tsu-mu: Design Typology for Care and Inclusion (English-Japanese bilingual)

This book is the exhibition catalogue for an exhibition held atMatsuya Ginza in Tokyo in September and October 2025.The organizer, Japan Design Committee is a non-profit organization with a total of 31 members made up of designers, architects, and critics who are active around the world. Since its foundation in 1955, the organization has provided opportunities for incorporating excellent design with a contemporary aesthetic sensibility into everyday life. At the end of the book, in addition to interviews with eight professionals, including product designer Fumie Shibata and the architect Kengo Kuma, an explanation of the seven intentions embodied in the ancient Japanese samurai etiquette of “origata”, which is connected to “tsu-tsu-mu” culture, is also included.
