Beatrix Farrand stands as a leading landscape architect of the 20th century. A founding member (and first woman) of the American Society for Landscape Architects, Farrand created more than two hundred private gardens and landscapes in the United States and Great Britain. She was also an expert archivist who pressed and preserved over nine hundred specimens from her garden in Maine. This box of 12 notecards and envelopes features 12 designs based on her plant pressings.
