In June 2020 Laura Simonati began a series of illustrations entitled Piccoli Posti, a collection of snapshots of real and not-so-real places, drawn in felt-tip pen on paper salvaged from old notebooks, always using the same format: a 5.5x8 cm rectangle. Originally conceived as a quick exercise in composition, these drawings have become a way of exploring personal and collective imagery. This Sedicesimo comprises a series of Piccoli Posti inspired by the Italian suburbs.
