In "Assoluti," Damiano Gullì presents La DS by Gabriel Orozco, a paradoxical interpretation of a symbol of modernity; Stefania di Maria in Volti negati organizes works of art where hidden or disfigured faces become the substance of transformed identities. In "Miti d'Oggi," Marco Manini narrates the revolution brought to the world of comics by Andrea Pazienza, while in "Inventario per autori," Mario Piazza showcases the work of international graphic design protagonist Mauro Bubbico, sharing his original approach to two-dimensional design. "Idee" is dedicated to the manifesto project The Fly by Donata Paruccini, while the "Altri sguardi" section presents, through the words of Roberta Valtorta, the world of one of Italy's masters of photography, Vittore Fossati. Manolo De Giorgi, in his "Cromie," reflects on the subtle differences between the colors celeste, azzurro, and turchese, while "Utopie" is dedicated by Eleonora Todde to the surprising work of geo-astrologer artist Aischa Gianna Müller. There is also a section on Normali Meraviglie (Normal Wonders), a collection of anonymous objects by sensitive Finnish artist Anu Tuominen. Inventario 18 concludes with a return to the cover theme, featuring a contribution by Francesco Faccin about the daring escape of families Strelzyk and Wetzel, who fled East Germany in a hot air balloon they secretly built.
