The Bologna Children's Book Fair's Illustrators Exhibition is one of the most important global events in the field of illustration and in its more than 50 years of history, it has featured the work of many of the leading figures in children's publishing. In alternate years, the cover is designed by the winners of the H. C. Andersen Award and the Grand Prix of the Biennale of Illustration in Bratislava, making the book a real collector's item for all fans. It also presents the contributions of the five members of the jury and includes a contribution by the art and design curator Paola Antonelli.
