Georgia Gardner Gray

New York–born, Berlin-based artist Georgia Gardner Gray populates her paintings with punks, groupies or street musicians, overturning hierarchies between the sexes. Whilst Gray would resolutely state her works aren’t ‘about’ anything, she plays with tropes of feminine figures and dandiness in relation to gendered preconceptions of (feminine) performativity. This publication collects her paintings and performance scripts.
