Ian Moore commenced his professional career as a structural engineer in his home country of New Zealand, before moving to London. There he working with Ove Arup, then Norman Fos- ter, gaining invaluable experience working on the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. He returned to Sydney in 1983 intent on becoming an architect. By 1990, Ian Moore Architects was born.Moore has since honed an approach to architecture that is remarkably consistent and richly layered.
